  Well the debate about The Great British Sewing Bee lives on! In general the majority of you loved it and are looking forward to more next year. Quite a lot of you wished you were shown techniques in more detail and some wanted more variety, such as home furnishings, patchwork etc. Some want to call it something else they didn’t think it was a real ‘Sewing Bee’ in the true sense. (Dictionary definition: A sewing bee: a group of people who come together in order to take part in a particular [sewing related]activity)

  We have seen a rise in the number of people interested in fabrics, patterns and sewing related classes. We are doing our best to find new fabrics and products to keep you interested. Don’t forget that the 2 Janes have over 80 years of sewing experience between them and are always willing to advise. We offer a broad spectrum of classes and bring in expert tutors for those beyond our experience. Let us know what type of class you would like to attend and we’ll do our best to deliver it! We are working on the class programme for the next few months, so ‘watch this space’ as they say!
